Power Description
Dream Walking
-Developed as a child (powers showing at age 5) and thinks it was inherited from mother, who was also a dream walker
-Sometimes uses the same sing-song rhyme their mother sang to initiate the sleep cycle:
--close one eye, close two, sleep now finds you
-Can use the sing-song rhyme from up to 15 feet away
-Found out using the second half works sometimes too, if in a rush and close enough (about 6 ft)
-Can only dream walk for 7 minutes, shorter if drastically changing the dream
-Can change most parts of a dream
-Develops headaches and migraines if going over the walking allowance
-Organs can start to slowly shut down if continuing over allowance
-Death will occur within 20 minutes of dream walking

History

Elle was born as Elliot Merton in Middletown, New Jersey. His family, while more on the traditional side of things, generally let him express himself as he pleased at home. Elliot grew up playing with his cousins and found that he enjoyed playing with Barbie dolls- mostly he loved the extravagant outfits Barbie had. Elliot's mother, Carmen Mercado-Merton, discovered how much he loved the outfits and would often let him play dress up with some of her more expensive outfits when his father, Mike Merton, was away at work. Mike was aware of the dress up and while he disapproved, he simply said that he didn't want to see it happening in front of him and never shamed his wife or son for it. Elliot was very close to his mother, who began to work with him closely when she discovered that he had powers mirroring her own when he was around five years old. During difficult nights, she liked to use her dream walking powers to put him to sleep and help him start off in a pleasant dream. One night, when she started the rhyme, he said it too, finishing before her and putting her to sleep for a brief moment.

While Elliot had a very happy childhood with his parents and cousins, his classmates were an entirely different story. He was relentlessly bullied and picked on at school, and his mother was often subjected to racism when she tried to talk to the mothers and fathers of Elliot's classmates about their bullying. The bullying never ceased, and as soon as Elliot graduated from high school, he moved to New York City to attend the Parsons School of Design.

There, he ran into a thriving artistic community in the East Village and slowly began adopting alter egos as what he saw happening in the burgeoning drag queen scene. Feeling as though Parsons was stifling his creativity, Elliot dropped out, much to the disappointment of his father and mother, who had been paying for the expensive schooling. Elliot and his father started to get into frequent arguments over the phone, so Elliot finally cut both of his parents out completely.

In addition to the drag queen scene, Elliot began to hang out with the club kids. Unfortunately, the partying was cut short when he was diagnosed with a terminal illness. He began to isolate himself, to the point that he became homeless. He was out of the streets, nearly sick to death from a combination of his illness and a respiratory infection, when a vampire and former friend happened upon him. The friend did him a favor and turned him, and Elliot stayed with him and the rest of the vampire group throughout the rest of the 80s, 90s, and 00s. It was during this time that he dropped Merton as his last name and started going by his mother's maiden name. He also began going by Elle and dressing in an androgynous way.

Started to grow restless with the clutch and the inability to actually do anything in any sort of leadership role. This lead to multiple fights with the domina, and eventually, Elle was kicked out. He stole the domina's BMW and a large sum of money with the help of some friends still in the clutch and fucked off to Canada for a few years before finally ending up in Cordova. He's been in the area for a little over a year and has been keeping a low profile from other vampires and shifters.
