Animal Description
Liliana's animal form mimics her lithe frame, which means she looks more long than squat. Since she is of shorter than average height, she is smaller all around than other Otter's whose human form is taller. Her head fur color is lighter than the rest of her, though that color does trail down her chest to her stomach. Her all around color matches the dark chestnut of her human form, and the lighter area's are more grey.

Appearance

Liliana hates following a work dress code and can often times be found wearing whatever the hell she pleases (within reason). This could range from a pair of faded jeans and a well worn t-shirt to a pencil skirt and a rather fancy top, though mostly she caters to the former. She wears minimal makeup, usually giving it enough effort to put on some mascara and some eyeliner. Her hair is most often seen in a bun or a braid down her back.

Personality

Liliana, for reasons of her past experiences, tends to be a little more reserved. Not only does she have the secret of her inner beast to keep, but she also has the secret of her past that would spell disaster if she ever leaked it. Because of this, she can seem to be a little disinterested and lack a desire to make connections. She has a few people she likes to talk to while waiting for her charge to get out of school or finish at the park, but it never involves interaction outside of work. She would much rather put her trust in people she knows have earned it and not really focus on anyone else. Even though she's a were, being of the Otter Species has helped keep her temper more at bay then she would have expected had she been prepared. That doesn't mean she doesn't have her moments where she has to work harder to reign it in.

History

Liliana was five the first time she discovered she could teleport. It was small at first, just across the room, but it was still something she could hardly believe she'd managed. Of course, being that young, she couldn't help but tell her parents. At first, they didn't believe her, just passed it off as the game of a child and she didn't have enough control over it to do it on command. It didn't take long for her to prove to them she could do it, though in the middle of a family dinner with the neighbors probably wasn't the best time for it. Luckily there had been nothing left behind as proof and Liliana's parents, who were both career oriented, were able to explain it away.

It didn't take much for her family to pick up and move, not sure they wouldn't get the lash back from their neighbors should they stay. They took comfort in the fact that no one would believe their far fetched story, but they didn't want to stick around to add fuel to the flames. They moved around for a while, trying to regain their careers in different states, but nothing seemed to catch as it had and Liliana herself, being the only child and having the strange talent that she did, was looked at with fear more often than not.

Away from her parents gazes filled with fear and often times curiosity that was laced with... something she couldn't describe, she tried to get control of it. This was easier said than done and she'd needed to be home schooled due to the unreliable state of her appearing half way across the room. She didn't mind this much because she was mostly left to her own devices, but there were times she wished she could be just as normal as everyone else.

After a few lack luster years of failed jobs, it didn't take long before her parents grew desperate and began seeing her ability as a profit gain than something to fear. She would always want to see them as good people who hadn't signed up for the life they had gotten, but it would never make up for the next several years. She quickly became their source of income by using her talent for illegal means, usually by teleporting to areas she wasn't supposed to be and stealing things that belonged to others.

Over the course of time, she forgot what it was like to use her abilities for the gain of knowledge about them instead for the profit they would provide. It had started as a means to survive, but had long since turned into an avalanche of greed and need for more. Her parents, ignorant of the guilt it caused as they were simply reaping the benefits of her misdeeds instead of committing them themselves, continued to push her towards more and more risky plans.

In one of her rare moments of down time she happened to meet someone who would eventually help her out of her predicament. At first it was just love between two people, she had her secret and, unbeknownst to her, he had his own; together they would help each other more than expected. He was looking for adventure and she was looking for a distraction from her life.

After a night of drinking, she was glad that the only secret she'd revealed was her family's requirement of her, but not method in which she succeeded with it. She'd once made the mistake of telling someone of her ability and it had eventually lead to where she was now, she didn't want to make that mistake again. He listened, becoming her confidante to the struggles she faced with it all. He listened silently, intent upon helping in any way he could. For now that involved traveling along with her, undetected by her parents.

As the years passed, He slowly discovered the truth behind her methods, though he'd had his own suspicions for some time. As it was finally discovered, his plan to fully help her escape the shit show that was her parents began to form and it didn't take long for him to act on it. So far he'd managed to keep his inner beast a secret from her, traveling back home every now and again to not completely lose himself and conveniently planning weekends away by himself close to the full moon. Now, his fate would become hers after, while being half transformed, he managed just one scratch while she slept. He knew the gamble of it not taking was one to make to see her suffering shift to something more she could control.

Luckily, depending on the circumstance one looked at it, the scratch took and at the next full moon solidified the changes that had gradually been happening with her. It had started with a fading of her abilities, a thing she wouldn't ever miss, and ended with her full on shift into an Otter. Given that it had happened without her say so, she took it better than expected, mostly grateful to be free of the gift that had plagued her since she was a child.

With the shift confirmed, she was able to escape from the cycle that was her parents greed, moving far a way from where they had started to finally settle. With him at her side and a new future to look forward to, she managed to settle in what she would later know as Mountainside, among his family and fellow Otter kin. At first they were none too pleased with the fact that he had brought a stranger home, but she soon became one of them and has helped in their community more times than could be counted.

Now she has made a life for herself, working in a avenue she truly loves, surrounded by people who truly care for her. Even still, the feeling that the bubble of safety she has experienced the last several years only needs one push of a pin before it pops.
