-Born in Eton, England in 1517. His father was a stonemason that worked on the college and his mother did embroidery.
-Grew up well enough off, but things got troublesome when his younger sister was born when he was twelve.
-Got his first job as a newsboy at thirteen, and hopped around to different jobs in the taverns and inns that populated the area around the school until he could afford to attend Eton College, with a study in biology.
-Studied education, and eventually landed a job at the school.
-Fell in love with one of his student's sisters, a scandal that nearly got outed many times. Eventually, they married and had three sons.
-At twenty eight, he fell extremely ill. He was losing his battle, when his wife traveled out of the city to retrieve a doctor she had heard of from one of her friends. Unbeknownst to both, the doctor was a vampire, and his cure was to damn Simon to an undead existence.
-Unable to stay with his family, both for their safety and the insistence of his sire that secrecy was to be prioritized, he was forced to do one of the worst things, to this day, he has ever done. Suggestions were made to his wife and his children that he had been involved in a serious carriage accident, and passed away. They were lead to believe that he was too mangled for his body to be seen, and they were to bury him with a closed casket. His sire attended the pseudo funeral to assure things ran smoothly.
-Simon was forced to leave his life as he had known it, and travel with his sire; Andre; to London. It was there that he was introduced to his first Clutch. It was there that he was assimilated into supernatural life, and became something of an assistant to Anders, whom was an apothecary by trade and acted as the Clutch’s medic.
.-Taking work where he could, furthering his study of the human body as science developed and expanded. For a short time, he worked as an undertaker, a groundskeeper for a graveyard, and a funeral florist. He would, however, always return to practicing in herbal remedies.
-Simon lived as normal a life as he could, but he never did forget about his family. He would travel home every year and leave anonymous gifts for his children, or send bouquets of flowers to his wife. He watched as she remarried, and had a fourth son whom she named Thomas, after his own middle name.
-In 1579, at the age of sixty two, his wife fell sick. Simon would visit her hospital bi-weekly, only ever seeing her from afar and learning from nurses what ailed her. Privately. he studied remedies for her illness, but could never come up with anything aside from turning her himself. With that out of the option, he was forced to see her die. On the night of her passing, he came to her bedside. Through her fever, she likely thought she was hallucinating. He lay with her as she passed.
-Simon returned to London afterward, and stopped his visits to his family for some time. It was not until 1612 that he checked back in, only to discover his youngest son had passed away.
-With the last of his family gone, Simon found it difficult to stay in the country. And so, he bid farewell to his Clutch and his mentor, and took to a new land; America.
-Here, Simon committed himself to finding something to revitalize. He became fixated upon various trades that were in higher demand during the colonies first few years of being settled. Cobbler, tailor, wigmaker. Eventually, he did settled back down upon apothecary. It was then that he discovered, through a series of strange events, that he had the ability to manipulate plants. To this day, he is still unaware that he had had the ability for decades prior.
-Simon took to growing herbs and plants of all sorts, and this aided him in becoming well respected throughout the colonies and over time as he traveled to avoid suspicion, taking on various identities.
-Loneliness did take its toll, he grouped again with a Clutch, whom stayed with them for some fifty years near the capitol.
-When the American Revolution took place, Simon left to travel through various military bases to aide in the healing of wounded soldiers.
-In the decades to follow, Simon made his way across the developing country. End to end, north, south, east, west. Where he would spend short spells with various small groups of vampires, but never find himself more than just ‘the medic.’ It took a heavy toll, and Simon coped with it in strange ways. Often developing short lived obsessions, collecting strange things, and developing a somewhat “bizarre” sense of style and fashion.
-He spent the 20's in New York, the 30's in Chicago, the 40's, so on and so forth. In each place, throughout each decade, he settled in with local clutches, where he would act as the group’s medic but was regarded as somewhat of a ‘loon.’
-Simon settled in Colorado in the 80's, and has traveled around the state since. During that time, he finally agreed to become part of a Clutch that settled in Denver, and after years with them, he was gifted with a stunning treat. The ability to transform into a small, scruffy dog, in which he could walk in the sunlight.
-After the death of his last Dominus, Simon has settled in Ravenswood just recently, and has taken up a herbal practice out of his home.
