Power Description
Developed soon after becoming a vampire. She has spent years perfecting her power and knows how to successfully wield it to generally get what she wants. She often uses it to make people feel good around her, which is part of the way she makes men fall in love with her. She can use this power for a long time before she actually starts feeling the drain.

When it does start to drain her, she loses a lot of energy quickly and can pass out. Generally, her vision starts to get blurry first and she herself starts to get irritated, no matter which emotion she is sending out.

Charlotte-Thérèse Desmarais: 1890-1911
She was born in 1890 on the outskirts of Aigues-Mortes, France as Charlotte-Thérèse Desmarais. Her family were poor laborers who felt they had struck gold with Charlotte-Thérèse, as she was incredibly pretty and had a lot of men asking after her. She was eventually married off young at age 17 in 1907 by her parents in the French countryside to an older male who was very wealthy because he owned a salt marsh. He paid a high price for her, and though no one knew it, he was also an old vampire. Charlotte-Thérèse hated him.

She was turned at age 19 by husband to "preserve her youthful beauty" and hated it. She developed her psychic powers of empathy shortly after and began using them to flirt and manipulate younger men in the village. In late 1911, she convinced one man who had "fallen in love with her" to burn down the house with her husband inside. She also trapped the young man in the house and both the young man and her husband died in the fire. She took off with her husband's money and traveled to Paris, where she changed her name.

Louise-Marie Petit: 1911-1921
She settled down quickly in Paris, and in early of 1912, she joined the Moulin Rouge since it was a nighttime gig. Louise-Marie never went hungry because she always had men and women after the show to feed on. Unfortunately, this all became rather short lived, as Louise-Marie wasn't the best dancer in the group, and so she was well out of the actual spotlight. Unhappy with how many other entertainers were getting recognized over her, she became bitter and jealous, and once again convinced a man who had "fallen in love with her" to burn down the Moulin Rouge in 1915. The man escaped from the fire, which made Louise-Marie realize that she might not be safe in Paris.

She moved to Marseille after that, and joined a clutch as basically a concubine for the dominus. Since there were other vampire women around the dominus, she didn't mind. Unfortunately, there was a fallout with the clutch when other vampires claimed she was the favorite, and therefore, didn't have to hunt as much as they did, as they dominus usually shared his own victims with her. The dominus, in an effort to show she wasn't, began to push her away in public view of the other vampires, but then still visited her in private expecting to have the same sort of relationship they'd had previously. Louise-Marie grew tired of that life and left the clutch and France in 1921 to move to England.

Jacqueline Couture: 1921-1995
Moving to England was a huge change for Jacqueline; especially as she wasn't too familiar with English. Being a smart girl though, she studied more in English while hanging out in various jazz clubs around London. She eventually joined another clutch in London, ran by a woman whom treated her like her own little pet. They initially spent a lot of time in the tube tunnels, until Jacqueline and the domina accidentally caused a tunnel collapse while trying to spar in 1923. The humans responsible for the discovery were quickly rounded up and, through suggestion, given a new story: a train accidentally hit temporary shoring. The clutch decided to stay out of the tube from then on. Life remained easy going in London.

Jacqueline relocated to the US with the clutch at the start of the second world war since it all seemed a little too messy in London and everyone was more on edge. They stayed primarily in New York City during the war and a little bit after it, taking in American culture, customs, and blood. Finally, the clutch moved back to London during the 50s. With newer vampires joining and not liking the relationship between the domina, Jacqueline, and a few other older clutch members, the domina was frequently challenged to fight for her role. Sadly, the domina died following one brutal challenge at the beginning of the 60s, and Jacqueline, heartbroken, left the clutch and moved back to the familiarity of Paris.

Back in Paris, she instantly joined another clutch, but also got heavily involved in the fashion of the era and became a bit too well-known in the youth culture of humans that the clutch decided to kick her out. She didn't care and continued to do her own thing. She decided to go back to the Moulin Rouge, since it had been rebuilt, and stayed there successfully as a dancer until the mid-70s, using makeup to make herself appear older as the years continued.

During these years in Paris, she hung around a few vampires who waffled back and forth on creating a clutch, but never actually got one established. She "retired" from the Moulin Rouge during the 70s and, instead, began working as a "prostitute" who rarely actually slept with human men and women, but who used suggestion and her empathy powers to let her drink from them and then think they'd spent a wonderful night together. She often worked with a male vampire she frequently referred to as her boyfriend to other friends, and the two pretended that he was her pimp. They both managed this act until 1995 when a man who'd fallen in love with Jacqueline began to stalk them. The man, somewhat important in French society, was not someone they were able to kill, and not wanting to deal with him, they fled to the US changed their names.

Melanie Robert: 1995-2018
Melanie and her boyfriend lived in different areas of the US throughout the 90s and 2000s; typically in large cities to hide away from the man who, in a fit of rage at having learned that his "love" had left, put a hit out on the pair of them. They do know that the hunter has tracked them to the United States, as they had seen him in their cities from time to time. Eventually, after several years of not seeing the hunter, they assumed he'd finally died off and they start to settle down in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, the hunter actually knew exactly where they were and surprised them one night in 2018 as they are heading back to their apartment before sunrise.

A fight ensues, and the hunter manages to kill Melanie's partner. Melanie bloodlusts after seeing her partner ashed in front of her and kills the hunter almost immediately. She kills a few more humans too before she makes it back to her apartment and trashes it right before the sun rises. The next night, she left and decided to travel from city to city, until she hears about Mountainside.

Emilie Lamoureux: 2019-Present
Changing her name once more, Emilie heads off to Mountainside in search of a new life in March of 2019.
