Animal Description
Typical African Black Footed Cat, except bigger and with creepy white eyes.

Long, straight hair.
Absolutely covered in tattoos.
Septum and stretched earlobes - super fun to keep up with as a Were.
Sense of fashion swings wildly, but thrift store finds seem to be a staple.

Hypocrite. Half-ass Buddhist. Smoker. Calm. Sarcastic. Challenging.

Born and raised in Sacramento, California to two wealthy Vietnamese immigrants - mother had a strong sense of tradition, while father was more progressive. Middle child, two brothers.
Childhood was full of juxtapositions - piano and viet vo dao, Catholic school and hunting trips. Her parents seemed to disagree more than they agreed as their children grew.
Her teenage years came with rebellion - she began breaking out of her mother’s traditions, breaking rules, pushing boundaries. When she was seventeen, her father disappeared overnight - he never came home from work, and hasn’t contacted his family since.
Suri, furious, became a terrible child. She stole money from her mother, as well as items from the home, getting into drugs and other criminal activities. Her tattoo collection began here, and it seemed to be the last straw.
At eighteen, Suri was disowned by what remained of her family and forced from their home. With what money and possessions she had, she hitched a ride with an unsavory friend - who had her own reasons to run - to anywhere else.
They didn’t get far. The car suffered a blown tire at high speed and the car flipped - Suri would have died if her friend, an obviously closeted Werecat, hadn’t turned her on the spot.
With some complications and obstacles, the pair ended up in Portland, Oregon, where they found a small group of women who also turned into these special little cats. In need of support, the girls made a home for themselves among the clan members.
Life was rough at eighteen, as Suri struggled with her personal traumas and how to deal with being an animal part time. She was particularly miffed over the seemingly useless size of her beast - for a long time, she wished she could have been a tiger or a wolf. Anything that couldn’t be punted across a room.
Years passed and Suri found a good rhythm with her beast and comfort in the weird city of Portland. Life with the clan was good, until their Queen died of old age in early 2019. Other Were groups began to encroach on their territory, and with stress and emotions running high, the group disbanded and scattered in the wind.
Now, in desperate need of a change of scenery, Suri has found herself in Mountainside, hoping to find others like herself in the midst of what seems like an unusually high supernatural population.
