Telepaths?

#1
So, I know in the FAQ thread there's a portion that states some psychics have been able to feel differences in the 'auras' of other supernatural characters, but! Are telepaths able to "feel/hear" a Were's inner beast? If a psychic was trying to read a Lycan's mind, would they notice the second being within? Does it depend on the level of each character? Or for the sake of gameplay and secret keeping are they simply unable to tell? Just thought this would be good to know!

While Telepaths can tap into others' thoughts, a Were's inner beast is something that only that individual Were can understand. If a psychic tapped into a Were's mind while the inner beast is preternaturally communicating with their human side, at most, they would "feel" only basic emotions that the inner beast is projecting. This is all a brand new Were hears, as well. Over time, the Were and their inner beast learn to communicate with each other using feelings, thoughts, and instincts but a psychic will only ever pick up on a beast's general emotions (no matter their level), and would not understand what they were hearing/feeling.

Telepaths operate on human thoughts and emotions. A Were's inner beast is strictly animal. A telepath might be able to pick up that something's a little off about a Were, but they wouldn't recognize the inner beast for what it is. A telepath does not speak animal and therefore would not understand the thoughts of the inner beast.

For Weres, part of being a new Were is learning to live with and harmonize with their animal. Truthfully, a new Were wouldn't be able to understand their beast either. Only time can teach a Were to begin to understand the wants and needs of their beast, but even then they never communicate with "words" or language. They communicate with pictures. Sounds. Scents. Needs. There will never be an inner dialogue between a beast and a Were.

Because there is no dialogue, a Telepath is unable to tap in and read a Were's Beast.
