It was after she'd shifted and woken up. Still night time. She sat in her car, thinking of Nat, thinking of... lots of things.

Asha had feelings. And maybe she was meant to share them or whatever. At least her cat's attempt hadn't been successful.

Would you ever change someone to protect them

THAT WAS A VERY BAD TEXT.

Abraham's blood pressure was through the roof in record time because he was very, very sure this was ending in "because I just did."

From what?

Of course he wouldn't just answer the question. So now she had to like. Explain. Sort of.

violent vampires

Not unless I knew them extremely well and they were being regularly persued or something
otherwise they can fix it by staying in were territory at night and anywhere they want during the day

All that was true. Well... as true as she knew it to be. Asha didn't know where Amy had captured Nat from, though she had mentioned Larkspur on the phone. And if it was Larkspur, then... what happened with the coyotes?

what if the weres don't get there in time?
what if there aren't enough?
they can't sense vampires unless they're close enough to smell them

Turning them into something that will probably cost them their job, their friendships, their family , their stability and self control, and very possibly their lives doesn't feel like a good trade off for the chance that they might bump into a vampire
not to mention that vampires can still fuck up and kill a were

He said a whole lot of things that was basically... No. And to be fair, he made good points. Just.

Maybe it was her fault for not explaining that she had to see a girl crying and terrified for her life because a vampire assaulted her and left her in the middle of a field. That this girl had prior to this night still been able to believe that none of this shit was real, that now she would go home and feel like she was a target, that she didn't even know half the awful things the worst of their kinds could do.

But Asha was tired, and she'd begun to cry to herself over it.

true

She said it, but it didn't change how she felt. She just wasn't sure the point of arguing it, and she could recognize that what he said did hold weight to it.

There were no new jaguars populating Mountainside anyway.

I'll be home soon

It was the way he asked it, that it had to be a friend for it to like. Be valid. She wasn't sure she really wanted to dive into it. And it wasn't his fault, it was just that she'd... already decided the conversation was at an impasse.

didn't turn anyone
Just wanted to know your thoughts

That wasn't what he'd asked.
